Mamta Gautam, MD, FRCPC, CPDC
President and CEO, PEAK MD Inc
Dr. Mamta Gautam is a psychiatrist at The Ottawa Hospital, a faculty member in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Ottawa, a certified coach, and President and CEO of PEAK MD.  She is a pioneer in the area of physician health and well-being, and has been hailed as “The Doctor’s Doctor”. She served as the Founding Director of the University of Ottawa Faculty Wellness Program, the CMA Centre for Physician Health, and the Founding Chair of the International Alliance for Physician Health, successfully expanding her vision of Physician Health from a local to a national and international platform.  She is on the faculty of several medical and executive leadership courses, including the Canadian Medical Association’s PLI, American Association for Physician Leadership, and Rotman and Telfer School of Management. An internationally renowned consultant, researcher, speaker and author in the areas of Physician Health and Physician Leadership, she is the recipient of numerous prestigious awards for her innovative work in these areas.

Monica Olsen, RN, BScN, BA, MHRD

Monica’s background in organization development, psychology and nursing coupled with her expertise in management, facilitation, workplace diversity and executive coaching have been used primarily in the health care sector for over 30 years. She is a long standing faculty member for the Physician Leadership Institute at the Canadian Medical Association and was instrumental in co-designing a two-day Leadership for Medical Women program along with Dr. Mamta Gautam. In addition, Monica has been a frequent speaker at both the CMA annual conference ‘Leadership for Medical Women’ and the CSPL Canadian Conference on Physician Leadership. More recently, Monica has co-authored a chapter along with Dr. Mamta Gautam and Dr. Gillian Kernaghan for the forthcoming book Women in Medicine. She will be made a Honorary Member of the Federation of Medical Women of Canada this fall for her commitment to mentoring female physicians in the areas of self-awareness and effective leadership. .

Mary T. Yates, B.A. (Hons), M.Ed.

Mary has spent more than 30 years in the business of helping individuals and organizations through the change process where the majority of her work has been in the health care and hospital field.  As the former Director of OMA’s Physician Workplace Support Program she has had a great deal of experience in the area of physician communication and behaviour. For the last 16 years, Mary has been on faculty with the Canadian Medical Association’s Physician Leadership Institute and has also facilitated workshops at the CMA annual conference ‘Leadership for Medical Women’.  Mary designed (along with Mike Kaufmann MD and Paul Farnan MD) and currently delivers a course for physician leaders called Managing Disruptive behaviour: a rational approach for physician leaders and has authored (along with Paul Farnan, MD) a web enabled learning module called Dealing with difficult  physicians (University of Ottawa/e physician health.com).  Along with Monica Olsen,  they have published a five-part series of articles in the Canadian Journal of Physician Leadership, on Facilitation Skills for Physician Leaders; an emerging necessity in a complex health system.
