What is Momentum?

This retreat is intended for emerging and seasoned physician leaders. This “pause”, with like-minded colleagues, will help participants clarify their personal leadership direction while enhancing the requisite knowledge, skills and motivation to mobilize growth and performance for self and colleagues. It has been purposely planned as an escape from the relentless distractions of both the healthcare world and personal responsibilities.

With over 75 years of combined expertise in physician leadership, the faculty, consisting of Dr. Mamta Gautam, Monica Olsen and Mary Yates, have responded to frequent requests by women physicians across Canada to develop this leadership retreat for medical women in a tranquil setting.

The beautiful setting of Peller Estates Winery, in Niagara on the Lake, is centrally located in Canada, and easily accessible from Toronto. The stunning vistas, award-winning dining and warm ambiance make it easy to relax and enjoy life’s simple pleasures. It is located close to many fabulous hotels, boutiques, outlet shopping, biking and hiking paths, the renowned Shaw Festival and the world-famous Niagara Falls.

Limited to 24 participants.

At the end of this 6 day program, participants will:

➡️ Deepen their awareness of their leadership style, strengths and vulnerabilities in order to enhance personal leadership capacity.
➡️ Learn the key ingredients for success for women leaders today — confidence, grit and resilience — and practice concrete skills to enhance these aspects.
➡️ Gain courage to seek and embrace higher levels of medical leadership responsibility.
